It’s a matter of great pleasure to inform you that a National Summit for FPO/FPC & Agri-Startups is scheduled on 15 & 16 Dec. 2016 at SIAET, Govt. of MP, Bhopal. You will appreciate that FPOs / FPCs are the new hope for transforming unorganized sector of country’s agriculture sector in an organized one. It is equally well established that the income of farmers can only be increased by increasing their participation in the food supply chain & its management. This is also possible by integration of FPO/FPC & innovative business models of Agri-Startups in the country.

Present scenarios of FPOs/FPCs tell us that these institutions are struggling for its survival for many reasons. One of known reasons is lack of business opportunities & innovative-efficient business models. On the same hand Agri-Startups are struggling for its direct linkages with quality producers. While farmers are struggling for good prices, so integration of all three is a must for igniting & boosting up the growth cycle of Agriculture sector.

This will further ignite the other linked sectors like Agri-research & innovations, Agriculture based financial services, engagement of youth with Agriculture sector, flow of experts & mentors etc. Present National Summit is an effort in this direction to raise the issue of concern and suggest modalities to remove the bottlenecks of the system.
