Andhra Pradesh ties up with Iowa state in the US to promote farm best practices
HYDERABAD: In a bid to promote research and development in the fields of science, agriculture and life sciences in the state, the government of Andhra Pradesh on Monday signed a memorandum of cooperation with Iowa, a state in the United States.
This move would help in increasing the seed production and research in the state leading to increase in crop output said a release from AP government.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu informed the gathering that Andhra Pradesh was adopting a number of best practices from seeds to cultivation practices to storage and post production processes. He is also expected to visit some farms in Iowa to study the best practices followed there.
“Together we make a commitment today to collaborate to make farmers lives better, agriculture to fare better and to wipe out hunger from the world,” said Mr. Bill Northey , Secretary of Agriculture of Iowa.
