The Indian company Asepto, part of the Uflex Group holding, is considering launching a high-tech production facility for aseptic packaging materials for dairy products, juices, and other beverages in the Smolensk Region, Russia.
According to the Governor of the Smolensk Region, Vasily Anokhin, this issue was discussed during his meeting with Asepto President and CEO Ashwani Kumar Sharma in Moscow.The proposed site for the project is the “Stabna” Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which will allow the company to benefit from tax incentives and government support.While the total investment amount has not yet been disclosed, regional authorities have already begun working on the necessary conditions for the project’s implementation.Uflex Group is one of the largest Indian packaging manufacturers, operating in more than 140 countries worldwide. The company specializes in flexible packaging solutions, including aseptic packaging, which is in high demand in the food industry.
