The performance figures were revealed during the 79th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Amul Dairy and the 60th AGM of the Amul Research and Development Association, held at the Sardar Patel Auditorium in Anand.

Addressing the gathering, newly appointed Chairman Sabhesinh Parmar said the cooperative currently works with over seven lakh milk producers, of whom more than four lakh supply milk daily. During the last financial year, Amul achieved an average daily milk procurement of 48.16 lakh kilograms.

Parmar said Amul Dairy paid ₹1,028 per kilogram of fat to farmers, reflecting a 9.39 per cent increase over the previous year. He added that insurance benefits exceeding ₹2 crore were provided to the families of more than 98 milk producers, strengthening social security for members.

Highlighting progress in animal husbandry, Parmar said Amul used over 10 lakh doses of sorted sex semen, the highest in the country. The Amul Semen Station received ‘A’ grade certification from the Government of India. During the year, 3,894 embryo transfers resulted in the birth of 618 high milk-yielding calves.

Expanding its national footprint, Amul extended milk procurement operations to West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Tamil Nadu, while initiating procurement processes in Karnataka and Odisha.

Infrastructure upgrades at Anand included installation of new RO plants, soft-water facilities, and automatic milk sampling systems, aimed at improving processing efficiency and quality control.
