The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), through the National Testing Agency (NTA), has released the Tentative University-Wise ICAR Quota Seats and EWS Seats for Postgraduate (PG) Programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27 as part of the ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2026 Information Bulletin.
The seat matrix provides programme-wise and university-wise details of seats available under the ICAR quota, along with the number of seats reserved for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category. The information covers Master’s programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences offered by participating Agricultural Universities across India.

According to the Information Bulletin, the seat matrix is tentative and is intended to guide candidates during the admission process. ICAR has clarified that the final seat matrix will be published at the time of online counselling, and any changes in seat availability will be updated accordingly.
Admissions to PG programmes through ICAR are conducted across the ICAR-AU system, comprising 74 Agricultural Universities, including State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural Universities, Central Universities with agriculture faculties, and ICAR Deemed Universities.
Candidates preparing for ICAR PG counselling are advised to carefully review the university-wise seat matrix, programme-specific eligibility conditions, and any special requirements mentioned in the Information Bulletin before filling their choices during the counselling process.
