Curd sales rose to 14,58,278 kg from 13,76,860 kg. The figures show an average growth of around 5% from the same period last year.

The sale of ghee, an essential ingredient in many Onam dishes, reached 863.92 tonnes for the season (August 1 to 31), up from the previous year’s figure of 663.74 tonnes, showing 30% growth. Additionally, Milma outlets sold 127.16 tonnes of ghee during the past four days, taking the total figure to 991.08 tonnes.

Milma chairman K.S. Mani said it has supplied 50 ml packs of ghee, which were included in the six lakh Onam kits distributed through the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco). Milma’s ready-to-eat payasam and the payasam kits also were well-received during the Onam season. The record sales reaffirms the immense consumer confidence in Milma’s staple products, cementing the brand’s enduring legacy in Kerala’s dairy sector, Mr. Mani was quoted as saying in a statement.
