In a heartwarming recognition of rural entrepreneurship and cooperative spirit, Banas Dairy’s milk producer Mrs. Maniben Jesungbhai Chaudhary from Kasra village, Kankrej (Banaskantha), was honoured at the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) event held in Goa for her extraordinary contribution to the dairy cooperative movement.
From humble beginnings in a mud house and battling severe water scarcity, Mrs. Maniben’s journey is a true testament to resilience and the transformative power of cooperation. Starting with just ten animals, her relentless dedication and hard work have grown into a flourishing enterprise of 285+ cattle, a modern dairy farm, and employment for 27 people from 13 families.
With consistent guidance and support from Banas Dairy, including access to milking machines, animal cooling systems, electric chaff cutters, livestock insurance, and open shed facilities, Mrs. Maniben turned obstacles into opportunities.
Today, she stands as a beacon of rural prosperity — earning an impressive ₹19,54,017 per month (₹2.34 crore annually), owning 80 bighas of land, a modern home, two cars, and four tractors.
Her inspiring success story exemplifies the slogan “Sahkar Se Samruddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation) — showcasing how collective effort, modern dairy practices, and sheer determination can uplift entire communities.
Mrs. Maniben’s remarkable journey is not just a tale of personal triumph but a symbol of women’s empowerment in rural India, igniting hope and ambition among generations of dairy farmers across the nation.
