Mother Dairy has been fined for not meeting the standards of milk and cheese samples. The Food Department had taken samples of milk and cheese from different booths of Mother Dairy about 10 to 11 years ago, since then the hearing was going on in the ADM court.
The court of Gautam Buddha Nagar Additional District Magistrate Administration has imposed a fine of 24.80 lakhs on Mother Dairy for not meeting the standards of milk and cheese samples. The food department had taken samples of milk and cheese from different booths of Mother Dairy about 10 to 11 years ago, since then the hearing was going on in the ADM court. Now the court has settled the cases and ordered to impose a fine.
Assistant Commissioner (II) Food Sarvesh Mishra said that on 15 March 2016, a sample of Mother Dairy’s toned milk was taken from near Ramgarh railway gate, which did not meet the standards. In this case, a fine of Rs 7.10 lakh has been imposed on Mother Dairy. On 15 January 2016, a sample of full cream milk was taken from Mother Dairy’s booth in Sector Gamma One, which was found to be deficient in fat.
In this case, the ADM court has imposed a fine of Rs 4.60 lakh. On 24 June 2015, a sample of full cream milk was also given from the Mother Dairy booth located at the WHO Society. The fat content was found to be low in the test. A fine of Rs 4.60 lakh has been imposed in this too. On 13 October 2014, a sample of Mother Dairy’s cheese was taken from Sector-11 in Noida, which did not meet the standards. In this case, the ADM court has imposed a fine of Rs 8.50 lakh.
