Kolkata, West Bengal: The West Bengal Cabinet on Wednesday unanimously approved the merger of Mother Dairy Calcutta with Banglar Dairy, effectively retiring the Mother Dairy brand in the state, said Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya.
Under the decision, all products previously marketed under the Mother Dairy Calcutta banner will now be sold exclusively as Banglar Dairy products. “The entire Mother Dairy has been merged with Banglar Dairy. From today, Mother Dairy will no longer exist,” the minister announced.
The move aligns with the government’s aim of strengthening the state’s cooperative dairy infrastructure and reinforcing the identity of Banglar Dairy as the primary dairy brand in West Bengal.
