Focus on Skills and Entrepreneurship

The project will provide:

  • Technical training in scientific dairy farming
  • Entrepreneurial guidance and business support
  • Market linkages to improve income opportunities

Experts emphasized that empowering women in dairy is not just about production—but about building independent, income-generating enterprises.

  • Selection of high-yielding animals
  • Genetic improvement
  • Proper feeding and nutrition

He noted that feed accounts for nearly 60% of milk production costs, making efficient feeding practices critical for profitability.

Beyond Income: Social Impact

Venu Nair, CEO of KPSF, stressed that women’s empowerment goes beyond earnings. He noted that when women gain financial independence, it leads to:

  • Better nutrition and health outcomes
  • Improved education for children
  • Stronger household decision-making

Building Sustainable Rural Livelihoods

The project is designed to create long-term impact by:

  • Strengthening women-led dairy enterprises
  • Enhancing productivity and value addition
  • Promoting self-reliance in rural communities

With structured training and institutional backing, this initiative is expected to transform dairy into a powerful tool for economic empowerment and rural development in Haryana.
