New Delhi: This is the story of Vibhore Jain and his wife, Ishita, a couple from Jaipur who left their corporate jobs and chose a completely different path. Located around 35 km from Jaipur, their Kinaya Organic Farms has today become an example of sustainable farming and livestock management.

Started in 2018, the farm currently has 100 Gir cows. It produces around 250–300 litres of A2 milk and 9 litres of pure Bilona ghee every day. The couple generates an annual turnover of around ₹2.4 crore from the farm. Here is the story of Vibhore and Ishita’s journey to success.
Vibhore holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from Bengaluru, while his wife Ishita has a B.Tech from Nagpur and an MBA from Pune. Vibhore did not want to pursue a conventional 9-to-5 corporate career. In an interview, he said, “I was absolutely clear that I did not want to do a 9-to-5 corporate job.”
When his family brought two cows home, Vibhore developed an interest in indigenous Gir cattle. He noticed that the number of 100% pure Gir cows in the country was declining.
In 2017, Vibhore travelled to Kathiawar in Gujarat, where he learned livestock-rearing practices from families who had been raising cattle for generations. He discovered that although these farmers owned excellent-quality indigenous cattle, they lacked access to urban markets. As a result, they were forced to sell their milk and ghee at very low prices.
Vibhore saw this gap as an opportunity.
In 2018, he leased land near Jaipur and started his dairy farm with 20 Gir cows.
After gaining three years of experience in livestock farming on leased land, Vibhore purchased his own land about 35 km from Jaipur. In 2022, Ishita also left her corporate job and joined the farm full-time.

Together, the couple developed a multilevel agroforestry and circular farming model. They sourced plants from the Pusa Institute and Indo-Israel Centres and planted more than 2,000 trees. These include over 500 mango trees belonging to 40 varieties and more than 300 white sandalwood trees.
Between the rows of trees, they grow organic fodder and crops such as Super Napier grass, sorghum, pearl millet, drumstick (moringa), and asparagus for their Gir cows.
The farm also follows a circular approach to waste management. Cow dung is used to produce biogas and is also converted into manure for use in the fields.

Today, Kinaya Organic Farms has 100 Gir cows and produces around 250–300 litres of milk every day. Approximately 30–35% of the milk is sold as liquid milk. The remaining 65–70% is converted into around 9 litres of pure A2 ghee every day using the traditional Bilona method.
The farm also produces wood-pressed oils, including mustard, groundnut, coconut and sesame oils. In addition, it produces freeze-dried colostrum powder using technology operating at around –60°C, along with organic vegetables.
Kinaya Farms sells its A2 milk for ₹150 per litre and Bilona ghee for ₹3,490 per litre. Milk and vegetables are supplied locally in Jaipur, while ghee and other value-added products are delivered across India.
At present, Kinaya Organic Farms generates monthly revenue of approximately ₹18–20 lakh. This figure does not include income from the sale of cattle. Based on this monthly run rate, the farm’s annual turnover comes to approximately ₹2.16–2.4 crore.
The main objective of Vibhore and Ishita is to create awareness about A2 milk and the importance of indigenous cattle breeds. They believe that with the right intentions, research and environmentally sustainable technologies, livestock farming can not only improve the country’s soil and health but can also become a highly profitable business.
