Bulandshahr: In Bulandshahr, UP, the team of Food Safety Department conducted a raid and recovered 45 thousand sacks of milk powder from an unlicensed warehouse. Its market value is said to be around 44 crores. This action of the Food Drug Department has proved to be a big warning, which is taking strict action against such irregularities.

The team of Food Safety Department received information in Syana police station area that a large quantity of milk powder is being consumed in a large warehouse. Due to which the team of the Fertilizer Department raided. The team of Fertilizer Safety Department has recovered a large quantity of milk powder from the spot. It is Ananda Milk Company. Where milk, cheese, mawa etc. are prepared.

The team of Food Safety Department conducted a raid in Bulandshahr and recovered 45 thousand sacks of milk powder from an unlicensed warehouse. Its market value is said to be around 44 crores. At a short distance from Anand Dairy, 45 thousand sacks of about 25 kg were found kept in a warehouse in large quantities. The GST team was called on the spot. When investigated, it was found that the goods of Ananda Dairy were kept in the warehouse and no license was taken by the Food Department for it. On the other hand, the Food Safety Department team, suspecting adulterated powder, collected samples and sent them to the lab.

Vipin Kumar, Food Safety Officer Commissioner, said that information was received about storing some food items in the warehouse. The team also inspected it. During the inspection, skimmed milk powder was found to be stored in the warehouse. The store in-charge and a bank representative were found present on the spot. They said that this skimmed milk powder of Ananda Dairy has been stored.

On enquiring on the spot, it was found that they do not have any food license here. Skimmed milk powder was stored without license. Two samples of two different brands of skimmed milk powder have been taken from the spot for testing. The cost of which is about 44 crore rupees. Notice is being issued to the company. All the samples are being collected and sent to the food laboratory for testing. After receiving the test report from the laboratory, a case will be registered under the relevant sections of Food Safety Standards Act 2006.
