Motipur, Bihar | In a significant move to expand its footprint in eastern India, Dodla Dairy Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, HR Food Processing Private Limited, has been allotted land for establishing a new dairy processing facility in Bihar.
The land parcel, measuring approximately 311,333 square feet (7.15 acres), is located in the Dumaria industrial area of the Motipur cluster. The allotment has been made by the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority on a 90-year lease basis, reflecting the state’s continued push to attract food processing investments.
The proposed manufacturing unit will focus on producing a wide portfolio of dairy products, including milk, curd (dahi), paneer, lassi, butter, ghee, flavoured milk, and traditional milk-based sweets, catering to the growing demand in the region.
According to the company, it has formally accepted the terms and conditions of the allotment and is currently in the process of completing the necessary formalities to take possession of the land.
This development aligns with Dodla Dairy’s broader strategy to strengthen its processing and distribution network across underserved markets, particularly in eastern India, where dairy consumption is witnessing steady growth.
Industry observers note that the project is expected to generate local employment opportunities and support dairy farmers through enhanced procurement infrastructure in and around Bihar.
