Karnataka’s popular dairy brand, Nandini, will see the price of its toned milk rise from Rs 42 to Rs 46 per litre, while curd will now cost Rs 54 per litre, up from Rs 50.
In yet another move impacting household budgets, the Karnataka government on Thursday approved a fresh hike in milk and curd prices, further tightening the financial strain on consumers. After increasing public transport fares earlier this year, the state administration has now raised the price of essential dairy products by Rs 4 per litre, effective April 1.

The decision, announced on March 27 by Animal Husbandry and Silk Production Minister K Venkatesh, comes in response to persistent demands from dairy farmers, cooperatives, and the Animal Husbandry Department. With this revision, Karnataka’s popular dairy brand, Nandini, will see the price of its toned milk rise from Rs 42 to Rs 46 per litre, while curd will now cost Rs 54 per litre, up from Rs 50.
Revised Prices for Nandini Dairy Products in Karnataka
- Toned Milk – Rs 46 per litre (previously Rs 42)
- Homogenised Toned Milk – Rs 47 per litre (previously Rs 43)
- Cow Milk (Green Packet) – Rs 50 per litre (previously Rs 46)
- Shubham Milk – Rs 52 per litre (previously Rs 48)
- Curd – Rs 54 per litre (previously Rs 50)
