The team of Food Safety and Drug Administration raided Shri Ganesh Dairy Farm located on Khorma-Ramlakshan Road in Deoria. In this action conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Food Vinay Kumar Sahay, 60 kg of cheese was destroyed on the spot on suspicion of being unsafe and substandard.

The team took two samples of cheese, one each of skimmed milk powder and refined palm oil from the establishment. All the samples are being sent to the State Food Analyst Laboratory for testing. On suspicion of adulteration, 371 kg of skimmed milk powder (worth about ₹1,48,400) and 28 kg of refined palm oil (worth about ₹5,230) have been seized and kept in the safe custody of the food businessman.

The team of Chief Food Safety Officer Rajeev Mishra, Food Safety Officer Neha Tripathi, Ghanshyam Verma and Raju Pal were involved in the raid. After the report comes from the laboratory, further action will be taken as per the rules.
