The Food Safety Department team raided Rakesh Kumar Shukla’s Amrit Dairy plant in Gorakhpur. During this, 2.5 quintals of adulterated cheese was destroyed and 4 quintals of milk powder and 75 kg of refined oil were seized.

The inter-district team of the Food Safety Department on Monday raided Rakesh Kumar Shukla’s Amrit Dairy Plant located at Gopalpur Siyarampur and exposed the manufacturing of adulterated paneer, khoya and milk. After taking samples of curd, paneer and refined oil, the team destroyed 2.5 quintals of paneer, while 4 quintals of milk powder and 75 kg of refined oil were seized. The Food Safety Department has started the process of suspending the licence of Amrit Dairy, which manufactures paneer, khoya and milk cake on a large scale. Refined oil, milk powder, safolite and dairy whitener were recovered from the plant.

This is a manufacturing plant where adulterated cheese was made. Around 100 empty tins of refined oil were found on the spot, this proves that the health of a large number of people was being played with due to adulteration there. Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Dr Sudhir Kumar Singh, Incharge Flying Squad Pradeep Kumar Rai, Food Safety Officer KL Verma, Vijay Yadav raided. Version Amrut Dairy is a manufacturing plant from where 2.5 quintals of spoiled cheese has been destroyed.
