Mother Dairy Targets ₹24,000 Crore Revenue in FY27, Expands Beyond Delhi-NCR

Mother Dairy has set an ambitious target of achieving more than ₹24,000 crore in revenue during FY 2026-27, representing nearly 20% growth over the previous fiscal year. The company plans to achieve this through expanding its presence in new markets, strengthening manufacturing capacity, and capitalizing on growing consumer demand across dairy, edible oils, and horticulture products.

Mother Dairy Targets ₹24,000 Crore Revenue in FY27, Expands Beyond Delhi-NCR

The announcement comes after Mother Dairy reported a turnover of ₹20,300 crore in FY 2025-26, reflecting a robust 17% year-on-year growth.

FY 2025-26 Revenue Breakdown

Business SegmentRevenue Contribution
Dairy Products₹15,000+ crore
Edible Oils & Horticulture₹5,000+ crore
Total Turnover₹20,300 crore

The dairy business continues to be the company’s primary growth driver, accounting for nearly three-fourths of total revenue.

Expansion Beyond Delhi-NCR

Chairman Meenesh Shah emphasized that the company aims to transform its image from being a Delhi-centric dairy brand to a truly national food company.

“We want to shed the perception that Mother Dairy is Delhi-NCR centric. We already have a presence in several states and are exploring new markets where we do not currently operate,” Shah said.

Currently:

  • 63% of revenue comes from Delhi-NCR.
  • 37% comes from the rest of India.

The company aims to significantly increase its contribution from non-Delhi markets over the coming years.

To support expansion, Mother Dairy is investing in new processing infrastructure across India.

What This Means for India’s Dairy Sector

Mother Dairy’s aggressive growth strategy reflects several broader trends shaping the Indian dairy industry:

Industry Signals

  • Rising demand for branded dairy products.
  • Rapid growth in value-added dairy categories.
  • Expansion into Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
  • Increasing investments in dairy processing infrastructure.
  • Strong consumer preference for organized dairy brands.
  • Greater opportunities for dairy farmers through expanded procurement networks.

Expert Analysis

Mother Dairy’s target of ₹24,000 crore in FY27 highlights the strong momentum in India’s organized dairy sector. The company’s expansion into Maharashtra, Telangana, and Bihar signals a strategic shift from regional dominance to national leadership.

For dairy farmers, the expansion could mean increased milk procurement opportunities. For dairy technologists and industry professionals, the ongoing investments in processing facilities are likely to create new employment opportunities across production, quality control, procurement, and supply chain functions.

As India’s dairy market continues to formalize and consumers increasingly shift toward branded products, Mother Dairy appears well-positioned to remain one of the country’s fastest-growing dairy and food companies.
