Global dairy trade: eDairyMarket, the B2B dairy marketplace operated by DairyCorp, has completed a major overhaul of its technology infrastructure, replacing the platform architecture it had operated on for more than a decade.

The upgrade was designed to support the growing complexity and international scale of dairy ingredient and product trading while maintaining uninterrupted service for existing users.

2,700+ accounts migrated without service disruption

The six-month technology project migrated 2,732 user accounts, 112 active stores, the complete product catalogue and more than 2,600 subscribers to a new infrastructure.

The migration was executed while the existing platform remained operational as a contingency system, allowing business activity to continue without interruption.

The development, data migration and infrastructure architecture were undertaken by technology partner Codirity, with its founders Juan Cruz and Bruno Maurino and QA engineer Macarena Britos involved in the implementation and quality assurance process.

Advanced search for dairy ingredients and products

For buyers, one of the major changes is a more advanced product-discovery system.

Users can now search and filter products based on parameters such as:

  • Category
  • Brand
  • Technical specifications
  • Price
  • Product type

The platform covers categories ranging from dairy commodities and specialty ingredients to industrial equipment, commercial supplies and services.

Product listings have also been expanded to include seller identification, technical documents, videos, Incoterms and related-product recommendations. Users can save products to favourites and share specific search results through direct links.

Sellers gain greater control

The upgraded platform also introduces self-service seller management.

Registered users can create product listings independently using a publishing interface that supports images, videos, marketing materials and standardised commercial information.

Official stores receive dedicated dashboards through which they can manage catalogues, profiles, sales and performance metrics.

Another notable feature is automated transaction documentation. Completed transactions generate downloadable commercial contracts in PDF format, with notifications sent to the participating parties.

Security becomes a central focus

The technology migration was accompanied by an independent security review and quality audit.

According to the company, the process identified and addressed vulnerabilities including unauthorised access risks to third-party profiles. More than 1,100 inactive or deactivated accounts were removed from the previous system, while session information was removed from analytics reports to strengthen browsing privacy.

The platform was also moved from shared hosting infrastructure to a dedicated, isolated and scalable production environment.

What the upgrade means for dairy trade

The development reflects the broader digitalisation of international dairy commerce, where buyers increasingly require technical specifications, documentation, traceability, pricing information and commercial terms before entering transactions.

For a sector dealing in products such as milk powders, whey proteins, dairy ingredients and specialised commodities, digital marketplaces can potentially reduce information gaps and make supplier discovery more efficient.

The retention of the platform’s historical web addresses through structural redirects was also intended to preserve its accumulated search visibility built over more than a decade.
