The global dairy sector continues to drive progress in farming, processing, animal health, packaging, nutrition, and community development. This commitment is reflected in the 4th Annual IDF Dairy Innovation Awards 2025, which recognize and celebrate outstanding innovations that strengthen the dairy industry worldwide.

Organized by the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and sponsored by Tetra Pak, a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, the awards showcase innovations that improve efficiency, sustainability, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, the competition received over 130 entries from various countries, demonstrating the sector’s creativity and dedication to improvement at every stage of the value chain.
Participation and Key Dates
- Entry period: 7 April – 7 June 2025
- Evaluation period: 9 July – 10 August 2025
- Finalists announced: 1 September 2025
- Winners awarded: 21 October 2025, during the IDF World Dairy Summit in Santiago, Chile — the first time the event will be held in South America.

Evaluation Process
The evaluation process follows a transparent and standardized system aligned with global sustainability goals. Each entry is judged on five key variables using a four-level scoring scale (from basic to disruptive innovation).

Evaluation Period: 9 July – 10 August 2025 (extended due to high participation).

Transparency and integrity
All entries are reviewed by an independent panel of experts. The evaluation framework ensures consistency and objectivity, with each criterion scored independently and aggregated for final decisions.
