Dairy Day, the Bengaluru-based ice cream maker backed by Kedaara Capital, is set to touch ₹1,000 crore in revenue in FY26, up from ₹820 crore in FY25. The company says its growth is driven by a sharp regional strategy and strong brand recall in South India.

Regional Strength
- Karnataka + Tamil Nadu = 65–68% of total business.
- Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra = ~30%.
- Smaller presence in Kerala, Odisha (few districts), and Madhya Pradesh.
Dairy Day is growing at ~25% CAGR in the markets it operates in.

Expansion Strategy
The next 3–5 years will focus on deepening presence rather than aggressive geographic expansion:
- Strengthening distribution in existing markets
- Building dominance in upcountry towns
- Positioning itself as the first-choice organised ice-cream brand
The brand currently has:
- 80,000 retail outlets
- 500+ distributors
Both numbers are expected to double in three years.
Capital & Ownership
- No new fundraising planned; the company says it is well capitalised.
- Motilal Oswal PE (invested in 2016) exited fully in 2024.
- Kedaara Capital acquired a significant stake in March 2024.
Channel Mix
- General trade: Majority of sales
- Modern trade: 10–12%
- Quick commerce: 6–7%
Emerging markets are projected to grow 1.5–2× faster than mature ones.
