KMF Declares Nandini Products 100% Safe, Warns of Legal Action Over Rumours

Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has issued a strong public clarification dismissing social media rumours questioning the safety of its widely consumed Nandini milk and dairy products. The federation termed the allegations “false and baseless,” stating they have caused unnecessary panic among consumers.

KMF Declares Nandini Products 100% Safe, Warns of Legal Action Over Rumours

The misleading posts, reportedly circulating on platforms including Instagram, suggested that certain Nandini products were unsafe for consumption. KMF said these claims lack factual basis and have created confusion among millions of customers who have long trusted the brand.

In its statement, KMF emphasised that its production processes strictly follow approved scientific methods and comply with all statutory guidelines. Every stage — from milk procurement and processing to packaging and distribution — operates under rigorous quality control and hygiene standards.

The federation reiterated that all Nandini milk and milk-based products comply with regulations set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and are 100% safe for daily consumption.

KMF urged consumers to disregard unverified information and rely on the established credibility of the Nandini brand, which has been a household name in Karnataka for decades. The federation also warned that it will initiate strict legal action against individuals or entities responsible for spreading defamatory and misleading content.

“This is an attempt to damage public trust through misinformation,” the statement indicated, adding that the organisation will not tolerate such actions.

The clarification comes as KMF continues to supply dairy products to crores of families across the state and beyond. The federation said consumers can purchase Nandini products with full confidence, backed by certified safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

The episode underscores the growing challenge of combating misinformation on social media — particularly when it targets essential daily commodities such as milk. KMF’s swift response aims to restore public confidence and reaffirm the safety of its products.
