However, most private milk unions have reduced the price of milk, citing a decrease in the price of dairy products. As of June 6, the price has been reduced by a Rs 2 to 3 per liter. Although the price of milk has come down, the prices of animal fee increasing at an alarming rate, so the producers are worried.

Two to two and a half crore liters of cow’s milk are collected every day in the state. There are more farmers engaged in milk business in Ahilyanagar, Nashik, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli regions. However, the issue of milk price remains. This summer, there was a demand for dairy products due to weddings and other programs. The price of cow’s milk had gone up to Rs 34 per liter. Cow’s milk with 3.5 fat and 8.5 SNF was getting a price of Rs 34 till May 21.
