MUMBAI: Milky Mist Dairy Food made a strong debut on the stock exchanges on Tuesday, with its shares listing at ₹165 on the NSE, representing a 17.9% premium over the issue price of ₹140.
The dairy products company’s shares continued to gain during the session and ended at the day’s high of ₹181.50, signalling strong investor interest on its first trading day.
At the closing price, Milky Mist Dairy Foods’ market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹13,972.66 crore.
The listing marks a significant milestone for the Tamil Nadu-based dairy company, which has built its business around value-added dairy products and has expanded its presence beyond traditional liquid milk into categories such as paneer, curd, cheese, dairy beverages and other processed dairy products.

The strong debut reflects investor interest in India’s growing organised dairy and value-added dairy segment, where companies are increasingly shifting towards higher-margin processed products rather than relying solely on liquid milk.
With the stock closing substantially above its issue price, the company’s first trading session has given investors a strong initial indication of market confidence in its growth prospects.
However, the post-listing performance will ultimately depend on factors including revenue growth, margins, raw milk procurement costs, capacity utilisation, product mix, distribution expansion and competition in India’s rapidly developing dairy market.
