“This morning, I visited the Tnuva dairy factory in Rehovot and saw normal stock levels, ongoing production, and dedicated workers who are going to work in a complex security situation.”

There is no shortage of dairy products, and “the economy is continuing to function,” Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat said on Tuesday, after receiving an update from Tnuva during a visit to their dairy in Rehovot.
He stressed that there is no need to hoard food items.
The visit occurred as Operation Rising Lion was causing hoarding of food items among the public, the ministry said, explaining that people are concerned about shortages of basic foods, especially milk.
