Paras Dairy (VRS Foods Limited) announced strategic expansion of its Galacia Cheese portfolio into western and southern Indian markets at Anuga Select India, targeting national market growth through enhanced distribution networks.

The dairy company plans to recruit 100 new distributors across these regions while scaling HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) outlet presence from current levels exceeding 500 locations to more than 2,000 by March-end. The expansion strategy aims to position Galacia among India’s top five cheese brands.
Production occurs at Paras Dairy’s specialized cheese manufacturing facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, where the company is investing over Rs. 100 crore to enhance processing capabilities. The facility utilizes Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) technology for product quality control and uniform distribution characteristics suitable for commercial kitchen applications.
“With the Galacia Cheese brand, our goal is to deliver high-quality products at competitive prices in the western and southern markets, build a strong market presence, and be recognised as the preferred partner for the HORECA industry. As one of the largest B2B suppliers and a leading exporter, this expansion is aimed at strengthening our domestic presence across all cities with population of over 10 lakh,” said Gajendra Nagar, Joint Managing Director, VRS Foods Ltd.

The product line currently features Mozzarella cheese variants, with planned expansion into processed cheese blocks, cheese slices, and cheese sauces through phased rollouts. Manufacturing customization includes low melt, high melt, and analogue cheese options designed for diverse commercial culinary requirements.

Keeping in mind the diverse needs of the commercial kitchen, we offer a range of customised cheese variants, such as low melt, high melt, and analogue cheese, designed for various gourmet culinary applications,” said VPS Malik, Chief Marketing Officer, VRS Foods Ltd.
Current distribution covers North Indian states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Chandigarh. Market expansion will introduce Galacia Cheese to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad through 1 kg IQF packaging formats.
Paras Dairy operates five manufacturing plants across strategic milk-shed locations in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The company maintains partnerships with over 300,000 farmers across 7,000 villages and exports products to more than 45 countries, supporting both domestic market expansion and international trade operations.
