Bengaluru: In a major relief to consumers, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has rolled out milk and curd packets priced at just ₹10, aiming to make essential dairy products more affordable across the state. The initiative primarily targets bachelors, working professionals, and small households that require smaller daily quantities of milk and curd.
Under the new scheme, 160 ml milk packets will be sold for ₹10, while 140 ml curd packets will also be available at the same price. Earlier, KMF offered milk and curd only in 200 ml packs, which were comparatively costlier for consumers who needed limited quantities. With the introduction of these compact sachets, KMF expects to reduce wastage and improve accessibility to daily dairy essentials.
The low-cost dairy products were symbolically inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, marking the official launch of the consumer-friendly initiative. KMF officials said the ₹10 milk and curd packets will soon be available at all Nandini milk booths and outlets across Bengaluru and the rest of Karnataka.
The newly launched products are: N‑Pro Milk (High Protein Milk)- 500ml at ₹27; Paneer (Medium Fat)- 200gm at ₹90; GoodLife Pure Ghee (High Aroma)- 500ml at ₹380 and 1 litre at ₹760; Nandini Pure Ghee- 200ml at ₹165, 500ml at ₹360, and 1 litre at ₹720; Probiotic Curd- 200gm at ₹35; Probiotic Mango Lassi- 160ml at ₹15; Dairy Whitener- 14gm at ₹5, 28gm at ₹10, 200gm at ₹90, 500gm at ₹180, 1 kg at ₹355, 10 kg at ₹3,400; Nandini Cow Milk- 160ml at ₹10; and Nandini Curd- 140gm at ₹10.

The move is expected to significantly benefit urban consumers, particularly in Bengaluru, where demand for budget-friendly, small-quantity food options is high. Bachelors, single-member households, and elderly consumers are likely to find the new packs more convenient and economical.
Industry observers see this step as part of KMF’s broader effort to enhance market penetration, strengthen the Nandini brand, and improve dairy consumption accessibility without compromising farmer procurement commitments.
