The fire of this protest has reached Akodara village, which has the country’s first animal hostel, where the cattle farmers are showing their protest by stopping milk collection in the village for the fifth consecutive day.

In protest against the price hike, the cattle breeders of Akodara village have stopped supplying milk to the Mandali and started distributing free milk to the needy people. The cattle breeders of the village say that they will not supply milk to the Mandali until their demands are accepted. Due to this protest, the milk collection work in the Mandali has come to a standstill.

Usually, the general meeting of Saber Dairy is held in the month of June and then the milk price increase and bonus are paid as decided in the meeting. But due to the audit, the general meeting was not held. The price increase will be paid after the general meeting.

Cattle farmers should start filling milk: MD Subhash Patel said that after the audit is completed, a general meeting will be held and then the cattle farmers will be paid the additional amount of milk price change. Some anti-social elements are misleading the cattle farmers and the cattle farmers are suffering, so the cattle farmers should start filling milk in the milk societies affiliated to Sabarderi. Sabarderi is and will always be on the side of the cattle farmers.
What is the whole matter?
Recently, the controversy has escalated in Sabbar Dairy over the increase in milk prices and the low payment of annual price adjustment (bonus) by the cattle farmers. The demonstrations by the cattle farmers on this issue turned violent. Stones were pelted on the premises of Sabbar Dairy at Himmatnagar due to which vehicles were damaged and there was a clash with the police. To control the situation, the police had to fire tear gas shells, in which some policemen were also injured.

Police have registered FIRs against around 1,000 people and arrested 47 people after the incident. As part of the protest, cattle farmers in some areas of Aravalli and Sabarkantha districts poured milk on the roads and stopped supplying milk to the dairies. As a result, the milk income of Sabar Dairy has decreased and the production of powder has also had to be stopped. This has also affected the supply of milk.
