Proposals from investors include a ₹457-crore plan by Ace International Limited, as the state looks to expand dairy processing infrastructure, value addition and market access.
Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹695.18 crore for its dairy sector following investor interactions at the fourth edition of the International Trade Show 2026, according to the state Dairy Development Department.

The proposals are aimed at establishing dairy plants and developing infrastructure for milk processing and related activities. The department presented investors and entrepreneurs with information on investment opportunities, government schemes, project implementation procedures and modern dairy technologies.
Dhanalakshmi K., Dairy Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, told The Hindu that discussions during the trade show covered proposed projects, investment potential, technical requirements and suitable locations for dairy sector development.

- Gauri Food and Beverages: ₹14.65 crore
- K Dairy Farm: ₹12 crore for projects associated with Jhansi and Lucknow
The department reportedly received 18 additional proposals alongside those specifically mentioned. The locations and project details associated with the remaining proposals were not fully specified in the supplied report.

The Dairy Development Department aims to attract private investment to improve milk production and productivity, strengthen modern dairy infrastructure, and expand processing, value addition and marketing.
Investment in these areas could support the development of a more integrated dairy value chain, connecting milk producers with processing facilities and markets while creating opportunities for dairy-based enterprises.
Proposals to undergo departmental scrutiny
The Dairy Commissioner stated that the investment proposals would be examined according to applicable rules. Their receipt does not, by itself, confirm final approval, financial closure or the commencement of construction.
The department’s broader objective is to develop the dairy value chain from production to marketing through modern technology, innovation, processing and quality control. The initiative is also intended to improve income opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs and contribute to Uttar Pradesh’s ambition of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
If implemented, the proposed investments could strengthen the state’s dairy processing capacity and create new opportunities across milk procurement, plant operations, product manufacturing and distribution.
