During his visit on Wednesday, the Chief Minister inspected operations at the existing Madhavaram dairy plant and reviewed construction progress on a new, fully automated dairy facility being developed to meet Chennai’s growing demand for milk.

It will also facilitate wastewater and effluent testing in compliance with Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) regulations.

Designed to serve both the federation and district cooperative milk unions, the facility is expected to support faster and more accurate quality testing in line with international standards.
